Fragrance Day celebrations took over the month of March from Miami to Madison Avenue and the Meatpacking District in NYC with a calendar of festive events for the fragrance community, spotlighting perfumers. This year’s theme for Fragrance Day 2026 touched on the artistry of fragrance and its intersection with art and culture. Wherever we went, fragrance as a cultural phenomenon resonated in all of the cities and neighborhoods we visited as TFF took our first-ever “Artistry of Fragrance” celebration on tour. Partnering with the Meatpacking District Management Association, TFF took over the DVF Flagship for an all-female perfumer panel that spoke to their impact in the industry.

SPOTLIGHT: FRAGRANCE DAY BLOOMS IN MIAMI

The Miami Beach Botanical Garden is a lush, three-acre oasis in the heart of the city filled with towering palm trees, serene water-lily-bestrewn pools, and the sweet scent of delicate ylang ylang flowers. As a prelude to spring—and to Fragrance Day—TFF President Linda G. Levy moderated The Artistry of Fragrance, an immersive discussion with perfumers Honorine Blanc of dsm-firmenich, Rodrigo Flores-Roux of Givaudan, Patty Hidalgo of IFF, and Gino Percontino of Mane in the Botanical Garden’s Banyan Lawn and Terrace on March 10th. It was an idyllic setting for an evening dedicated to showcasing the beauty and creativity of perfume.

SCENTS & SENSIBILITY: FRAGRANCE DAY TAKES OVER NYC’S NEIGHBORHOODS

Fragrance Day also celebrated our growing community in fragrance hubs across America. One of the most dynamic destinations today is Harlem pushing the creative boundary through fragrance with Harlem-founded and based brands to MUSE (Modern Urban Sensory Experience), the experiential space created by Kimberly Waters in her historic townhouse that invites fragrance exploration against the rich history and tapestry that is Harlem. From Miami, TFF traveled back to NYC to take the tour to the streetscapes of Madison Avenue and the Meatpacking District.

WHAT THE NOSE KNOWS: PERFUME, POWER AND THE WOMEN BEHIND THE SCENTS

The Fragrance Foundation closed out its monthlong celebration with The Art of Fragrance, a richly layered event held inside the brightly colored DVF flagship in the Meatpacking District; a space so vivid, so dramatic and so unmistakably Diane von Furstenberg, it felt less like a store and more like a living gallery. Tucked just off 14th and Washington, the flagship glowed in geometric shades of pink, blue and green as guests gathered adjacent to a Swarovski-studded staircase to celebrate scent not as product, but as art.

This scentsational event was hosted in partnership with the Meatpacking District Management Association (@meatpackingny) at the iconic DVF Flagship where these incredible perfumers shared their personal journeys and their creations in the intimate and art-filled setting.

The Fragrance Foundation took its celebration of #FragranceDay to the streets of NYC with its first-ever “Art of Fragrance Tour.” Partnering with @madisonavebid and @tiffbenson, we walked up Madison with fragrance enthusiasts and media alike who took in the sights and smells inside the architecturally landmarked fragrance boutiques along the Avenue, including @diptyque, @verawang, @loveshackfancy, @dsanddurga, @aesop and @fredericmalle. Making the tour extra-special was the stop at LoveShackFancy where Perfumer @gabi_che of @dsmfirmenichfine shared more about her latest creation - Sweetheart EDP.
